Apple will be holding the iPhone 8 launch event on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater inside its new campus, the Apple Park. The underground auditorium has a seating capacity of 1,000 which is slightly smaller than a few of the previous auditoriums where Apple had held an iPhone launch event.
Apple has not given us an official look inside this auditorium, but the folks over at Mac Magazine did upload some photos of the auditorium back in June. The images were taken when construction was still ongoing at the site but it still provides a good look at how the auditorium will look like once the construction work is finished.

The photos show the auditorium as having stadium seating and making extensive use of wood in light wood/natural finish.
As per diagrams posted by Neil Cybart on Twitter, the demo area where the press usually gets their hands on the device now sits in the center of the two-story lobby. There are staircases on both sides of the exhibit area which connects directly to the auditorium.

With Apple hosting the iPhone 8 launch event at its own auditorium, it will be interesting to see what modifications and tweaks the company does this time around to make the launch event stand out.[Via The Verge]
