Apple released iOS 10, its next-generation mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Tuesday, September 13. iOS 10 includes lots of new and hidden features such as major updates to the Messages app, new Home app, all-new Photos, Music and News apps, Siri integration with some types of third-party apps, VoIP calls integration in the Phone app, and lots more.
So we wanted to know how is battery life on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch after upgrading to iOS 10?
Based on the Wi-Fi battery life test carried out by folks at ArsTechnica, there hasn’t been a major impact on battery life after upgrading to iOS 9. A few see noticeable improvements, particularly the iPad Pro.
As you can see in the chart below, there have been small gains and very few losses across iOS devices, which could be considered to be within the margin of error.
I’ve also seen far fewer complaints from readers about battery draining more quickly after updating to iOS 10, compared to iOS 9 or iOS 8. However, in my case, the battery life on my iPhone 6s Plus seems to be draining much faster, though I have had issues with my iPhone 6s Plus’ battery life even before updating to iOS 10.
