Apple today announced that it is adding support for hundreds of new emoji with iOS 11.1. These new emoji have been approved by the Unicode consortium and are a part of Unicode 10.

Many of the new emoji were first announced on World Emoji Day like Woman with a headscarf, Bearded person, zombie, and more. There is also a Love-You gesture emoji based on the “I love you” hand sign in American Sign language.

Hundreds of new emoji, including more emotive smiley faces, gender-neutral characters, clothing options, food types, animals, mythical creatures and more, are coming to iPhone and iPad with iOS 11.1.

Apple will first be debuting the new emoji with the second beta of iOS 11.1 scheduled to release next week. These emoji will also be a part of the next beta of watchOS 4.1 and macOS 10.13.1.

The final release of iOS 11.1 is expected to release at the end of October when the iPhone X will launch.
