Apple recently released iOS 11 to the public, and now the company has released a quick software update to fix a few discovered issues.

Apple today officially released iOS 11.0.1, which brings the build version to 15A402, up from the previous build version of 15A372 in iOS 11. As the release number suggests, this is a minor software update, not meant to bring any major changes to the end user directly. No new major features being added to the mix. This is specifically designed to squash some bugs and boost overall performance for the mobile operating system.

As Apple puts it, iOS 11.0.1 includes “bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone or iPad.”

The release of iOS 11.0.1 arrives just one week after Apple launched iOS 11 to the public. That release was a big one, adding a new set of features, including the brand new Control Center, a new lock screen, and much more. As it stands right now, it looks like Apple is simply aiming to make the experience as solid as possible for iPhone and iPad users.

If any new features are discovered, or any other major tweaks to the software when compared to the original launch of iOS 11, we will update this post accordingly. Until then, the software update to iOS 11.0.1 is available now, and iPad and iPhone owners with devices that support the newest version of the mobile operating system can head into Settings –> General –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions to install it.
