Apple Watch is prohibited in Switzerland

Apple has released the time of booking for hours Apple Watch to the public. On April 24, Apple Watch will be available in various markets including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. However it was not listed on the Swiss market, the country which is known to Watch.

Quoted from Mashable, Monday, April 6, 2015, Apple would rather not get into that market. But Apple Watch fails to go to Switzerland because of the name of the patent.

Switzerland has there is patent with the English name ‘apple’. This patent has been submitted by Leonard timepieces in 1985, long before Apple products appeared. It is revealed from the Swiss television network reports, RTS.

But Apple may wait, because the patent ‘apple’ by timepieces will expire on December 5, 2015.

At least until December can be used when a local company to prepare the competitor.
