Apple has started to promote Carpool Karaoke: The Series a bit more now that the launch date is right around the corner.
Earlier this week, in fact, Apple published a minute long advertisement for the upcoming show, showcasing the variety of different artists and celebrities that will be making an appearance on the series. Carpool Karaoke: The Series will launch its first episode on August 8, and, leading up to that, Apple has teased the first episode starring Will Smith (Men In Black, The Pursuit of Happyness) and James Corden (The Late Late Show With James Corden).
The new ad is only about 30 seconds long, but it does a reasonable job of showing off what Smith and Corden will be doing throughout the episode. More than that, though, it shows that the series will be going outside the car and involving a lot of other things — like a helicopter. You can watch it below.
“Go on a star-studded, song-filled car ride in Carpool Karaoke: The Series from Apple Music. Each episode will feature celebrity pairings–from Alicia Keys and John Legend to Billy Eichner and Metallica–sharing a car, singing along to their personal playlists, and embarking on adventures.”
The upcoming series will be yet another piece of original content from Apple that will be locked behind the Apple Music paywall. Carpool Karaoke: The Series will feature 16 half-hour episodes, and each one will feature at least a pair of celebrities as they drive around in a car and sing popular songs together. Each episode will have a different host, and a different companion along for the ride, and they will be released on a weekly basis every Thursday.
