Discover Deals’ official page has inadvertently confirmed the arrival of the iPhone X and the 7th-gen iPod Touch. The mention was made under the “Exceptions” section of the cashback promo page. Naturally, Discover has since removed the mention from its website, but not before people could take screenshots of the page.
It is also interesting that the page mentions the “iPhone X Edition”, and not just iPhone X. It has been previously rumored that Apple will call it “Edition” to mark this big event in its history. The mention of the 7th-gen iPod touch is not particularly a surprise since there were some references made to a new iPod touch in the iOS 11 code leaked over the weekend. There’s currently no information on other aspects of the new iPod touch, however. But given that Apple’s event is merely a few hours away now, we don’t have to wait much longer to find out.
The iPhone X Edition is going to feature an OLED display, a six-core Apple A11 chipset, and an all-new Face ID scanner which is replacing the home button and Touch ID sensor. Apple will also unveil the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE on board. A Verizon leak yesterday confirmed its imminent arrival.
Apple is going to refresh the Apple TV as well with 4K capabilities and beefed up hardware. Apple is expected to unveil these devices and make some other software related announcements at the Steve Jobs Theater, Cupertino at 10AM Pacific Time today.
