Frankly speaking, smartphones are not smart enough if the user is a big guy with a huge thumb. It doesn’t matter how smart your phone is, it will become useless if you can not type correctly while using its default keypad.
Thanks to google which once again, come with its smart ideas to make our life much more easier: Google’s Handwriting Application. As a matter of fact, it is not a real new technology. If we have time to search on google with keyword “smartphone keyboard”, then we will get a big bunch of result offering external keyboards and some applications like swype.
So, what is so special n so new about Google’s Handwriting Apps then? Personally I believe it is about our behavioral action related to writing. More than any methods, handwriting is the most natural and spontaneous method to write down our ideas, at least for those of us who -thanks to God- having experience in learning composition during our education at grade school.
Also, it is true that this Google’s Handwriting Apps has been built since a few years ago. Google Handwriting Apps uses a lot of data resources grabbed from Google Translate Apps, Google Mobile Search, and also Google Input Tools (its predecessor, a product from google that used handwriting recognition). As a result, it works with almost any existing Android apps. It supports 82 different languages, including Chinese, and the greatest and coolest thing of all is: It is absolutely free. You can download it from Google playstore.
It is easy to use. Very responsive and perfectly write down my words. However, it got a little twisted up with spacing and capitalization. We have extra quick when we want to write down “i”.
Personally, I recommend this application for your input methods alternative.
