It’s been a little bit of a stretch since the last iCloud service saw some downtime issues, but now iCloud Mail is being plagued.
As several different iCloud Mail users have made it known on social media, the service is currently seeing some downtime issues. The reason behind it is unknown at this time, and the official Apple System Status page, at least at the time of publication, had not been updated to reflect any kind of outage for iCloud Mail at this time.
All of iCloud services are currently listed as having a green “Available” dot next to their name, indicating that they are not showing any kind of downtime. (In our own trial, loading iCloud’s website and trying to access iCloud Mail failed the first time, indicating that the service failed to load mail, but is now working without issue.)
The issue apparently started a little before 2:00 PM PST, so it has been going on for quite some time for several users trying to access the service. Those who are affected by it are seeing popup notifications, either telling them directly that their messages cannot be loaded, or with a blank, empty box that doesn’t deliver any kind of message.
The system status page will probably be updated soon, if Apple can’t get it fixed in time. Apple does note at the bottom of its system status page that if you are experiencing issues, to connect the company directly and let them know. By now, it’s likely that they are aware of the issues with iCloud Mail.
Are you experiencing any of these issues with iCloud Mail today?
