Hulu and Showtime’s big news
For all you’ve heard about HBO and Netflix’s battle, two of the primary rivals of both have announced a surprise offer.
Subscribers to Hulu will soon be able to subscribe to Showtime for $8.99 per month, streaming all of Showtime’s shows along with Hulu’s offerings across devices. The offer is $2 less than Showtime’s standalone streaming service, also launching next month.
Hulu announced the offer on their blog:
At launch, Hulu will offer SHOWTIME across more devices than any other SHOWTIME distributor over the internet. Subscribers will also be able to watch the east and west coast feeds of SHOWTIME live on Hulu.com. SHOWTIME is the only premium streaming service to offer live East and West Coast feeds through all of its internet distributors.
Like the new Showtime service, the Showtime/Hulu offer was made just in time for new seasons of Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex, both set for July 12.
