Tim Cook’s Latest CharityBuzz Auction Rakes in Over $500,000 for RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights

In April, Tim Cook took part of an auction on CharityBuzz that saw donations being made towards the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.

The winner will be given not only a visit to Cupertino for Apple’s HQ and have lunch with the company’s CEO, but also passes to an upcoming Apple event. The estimated value for the charity was set at $100,000. As expected, though, that total was blown out, with the bidding going up to $515,000.

Two people will be able to attend the lunch charity event with Cook, as well as two people attending the upcoming Apple event. The lunch itself is set to last an hour, and the date will be agreed upon by the winner and Tim Cook. The donator has until May 5, 2017, to take advantage of the lunch time meeting with Cook.

The CharityBuzz auction has certainly gained attention from the last two years, with this year’s total being much higher than the previous auctions. Last year, the CharityBuzz event brought in over $300,000.
