Microsoft issued a statement regarding the update or the update for Windows 10 users of pirated Windows. In its official blog, one of the top software giant stated, pirated Windows users certainly will not be included in the program free upgrade Windows 10.
“Offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 will not apply to devices with Windows pirated, and as we have done so far, we will continue to offer Windows 10 to customers who are running Windows pirated,” wrote Terry Myerson, head of Microsoft Operating Systems Division.
What is meant with “not free” by Microsoft is that the pirated Windows users may upgrade their operating system to Windows 10 through Windows Update, but Windows 10 they will be different from the original version of Windows users. Pirated Windows users will get a watermark indicating that they are not the original Windows 10. The mark will continue to appear for users of Windows 10 does not buy the original license from Microsoft.
